"Try to leave this world a little better than you found it."
Kanya Gen is a non- profit organization dedicated to raising awareness as well as money to support girls education in India. Towards this endeavor, we have partnered with an organization that is opening a free school for girls in India, providing them with a safe space to learn. They will be taught vocational skills, which they can then use to build a brighter future as independent earners.
Our name reflects our mission: 'Kanya' translates to girl in the Hindi language, and we hope to impact this 'Generation' of girls. India has several successful women icons such as Gunjan Saxena, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, and Zarin Daruwala. Through this organization, we aim to provide more girls with opportunities to create an equally successful or even better future for themselves.
Kanya Gen is a Bay Area based, high school student run non profit organization. We represent the concept that all girls must be given equal chance at education. The Kanya Gen team has partnered with another organization with the same goal as ours and all combined proceeds will go towards the cause. With our joint effort, we hope to make a lasting impact towards promoting the importance of educations for girls.

Your contribution will enable us to support our school and continue operations. We are very grateful for your generosity.
